So for Navisworks we have added the ability to sort by description and levels and grids of clashes can be added in the description so that partially solve this request. We are still studying what would be the best approach for issues raised in Revit.

An other approach is to filter by description when uploading clashes from Navisworks since the level and grids values are being transfered int his field.

Custom Attributes can't solve this, unless you open up API functionality to allow users to tie custom attributes to Revit Parameters or Navisworks data. It is really odd that you can't filter by Level in BIMTrack, when the Group Clash tool allows you to push that data into the clash groups.

If Model has a GRID, could it be captures as a searchable attribute ? So people don't have to always put location into the attribute. If the model has a Revit grid and levels in it, could that info be saved or populated as an attribute to filter by ?

A custom LBS (Location Breakdown Structure) feature with ability to select varying levels of hierarchy based on need / use case.
